Usui Reiki
Training
A sacred curriculum for the modern healer.
Rooted in the traditional Japanese lineage of Usui Mikao-sensei. Woven through with the wisdom of the Wheel of the Year and the Priestess path. This is Reiki re-envisioned with reverence, depth, and your whole sovereign self.
Healing as it was meant to be taught
Reiki has been in Western culture long enough to have become a commodity, stripped of its Japanese roots, repackaged in generic “energy work” language, and offered in weekend workshops that skip the preparation, the integration, and the reverence.
This is different.
“This is a lifelong practice that requires dedication.”
The Untamed Priestess Reiki curriculum is built on a foundation of proper energetic preparation, deep study of Japanese terms and cultural context, genuine integration between levels, and a living thread connecting your healing practice to the sacred feminine and the Wheel of the Year.
A Note on Language & Lineage
Throughout this training, you will encounter Japanese terms and kanji — the written characters at the heart of this practice. These are not decorative. They are the bones of the tradition and are integral to learning this modality.
Reiki, as it has traveled into Western wellness culture, has in many ways become a white commodity. The kanji have been removed from many trainings. The Japanese terms swapped out. The cultural context quietly set aside. In this training, we choose appreciation over appropriation — which means we learn the language, honor the lineage, and carry this practice with the reverence it deserves.
You build a proper energetic foundation before your channel is formally opened. Six weeks of preparation to assure that you’re actually ready for the attunement.
Depth cannot be rushed. A structured integration period with self-practice logs and reflection prompts separates each level.
Moon cycles, the Wheel of the Year, ancestral healing, and the sacred feminine are woven into the bones of the curriculum.
Enrollment is intentionally limited.
Three Levels. One Living Practice.
Each level meets for two hours. Each builds on the last. Each asks something different of you.

The Integration Period
Most Reiki programs move students from one level to the next in a single weekend. I do not. A structured 4–6 week integration period separates each level because depth cannot be rushed, and your energy body deserves time to settle into what it has received. I fully believe that allowing full incorporation of the information and practices will only help build a healthy Reiki relationship and practice.
A minimum 15-minute daily self-Reiki session throughout the integration window, logged in your integration packet.
Guided journal prompts for each week of integration designed to deepen your relationship to the energy and yourself.
A written end-of-integration reflection submitted to your instructor before advancing.
The Untamed Priestess
I am an Usui Reiki Master, Ordained Pagan minister, Pagan Witch, and sacred feminine educator. My work lives at the intersection of traditional energy healing and the wild, sovereign path of the modern Priestess, honoring the lineages that shaped these practices while bringing them fully into lived, embodied experience.
I am also the founder of The CT Witch Crawl, and I have spent years building a community of women and seekers who are ready to go deeper into their practices, their power, and themselves.
This curriculum is the training I wish had existed when I began. It holds you accountable, honors the tradition, and never asks you to leave yourself at the door.
Begin Your Journey
Enrollment is intentionally limited to ensure every student receives the depth of attention this work requires. Applications are reviewed personally. You will hear back within a few days.
Your application has been received. I will be in touch within a few days. Thank you for saying yes to this work! Choosing yourself takes courage, and I see you.
What You Might Be Wondering
Do I need any prior experience with Reiki or energy work?
Not at all. Level 1 is designed for complete beginners. The only requirement is genuine curiosity and a willingness to commit to the eight weeks.
Why is the attunement in Week 7, not earlier?
The short: because I take this work seriously. The longer: the first six weeks build the energetic foundation that makes your attunement truly transformational. Receiving an attunement without preparation is, in my humble opinion, only doing you a disservice. Your mind, energy body, and physical body need time to integrate the energies that will be introduced to you without overwhelm, and I want you prepared to work on yourself and possible future clients with full confidence instead of being rushed through the process in a single weekend.
Do I have to be Pagan or follow a particular spiritual path?
No. The Pagan and Priestess threads are lenses, not requirements. Students of all backgrounds and spiritual orientations are welcome. What matters is your relationship to your own practice. I will say, though, that if you are Pagan this work will probably be a bit more potent for you.
What is the integration period and do I really have to do it?
Yup, really. The 4–6 week integration window between levels is a non-negotiable part of this curriculum. You will receive a structured integration packet with daily practice logs and journal prompts. There will even be *gasp* homework. This helps you to build a practice that you’ll stay with, instead of taking this training and then letting it fall to the wayside.
Where are classes held?
Location details are shared upon enrollment confirmation, depending on if this cohort prefers virtual or in-person. All in-person classes will be held in Connecticut.
What is the class size?
Enrollment is intentionally limited — typically 6 to 10 students per cohort. This is a circle, not a lecture. Every student receives personal attention and the container stays intimate.
Can I enroll in Level 2 or Master without having taken Level 1 here?
Possibly. If you have completed prior Reiki training with another teacher, we will have a conversation to assess readiness. Levels 2 and Master require at minimum a brief intake call before enrollment.
Is there a payment plan available?
Yes. Payment plan options are discussed during the intake conversation. A non-refundable deposit holds your spot in the cohort.
