Hello hello my loves! Ok, let’s be honest “balance” often feels like a myth. Between running my businesses, teaching classes, and guiding women to reclaim their magic, I’ve learned that work-life balance isn’t about perfection, it’s about approaching things with kindness and grace.
As women, especially modern witches, healers, and entrepreneurs, we’re constantly spinning plates: career, relationships, creative pursuits, home life, and our spiritual practices. The world tells us we need to “do it all.” But what if balance isn’t about doing, but being?
Here are some of the practices that keep me centered while juggling multiple ventures:
1. I treat my time like ritual space.
Every task from client work, creative writing, or even meal prep becomes intentional when I approach it as sacred. I light a candle, set an intention, and let that moment be enough.
2. I don’t chase balance, rather I design flow.
Running The Untamed Priestess, teaching classes and workshops, managing events like the CT Witch Crawl, and volunteering with the CWPN (all while still holding down my 9-5 AND full time school) means no two weeks look the same. So instead of fighting it, I design flexible rhythms and live with my planner in hand. Find the pockets of time and work with what I have instead of forcing it to be any one way.
3. I let my cycles lead.
Whether it’s my physical cycle, the moon’s phases, or seasonal energy shifts, I plan around natural ebbs and flows. This keeps me from burning out and reminds me that productivity isn’t linear, but lunar. Yes, this means that some weeks I am not productive by any definition of the word, and that is a-ok in my book.
4. I delegate like I trust the universe.
It took time to learn this… and I’m still learning… but asking for help is power. I ask my wife and friends for help when I need it and I realized how much energy gets freed up when others support your vision. Delegation is a form of trust magic.
5. I allow pleasure to anchor me.
A hot bath. Reading something deliciously indulgent. Some sugar-free chocolate... Pleasure pulls us back to the body and the body is home base for every witch, mother, or entrepreneur trying to keep her spark alive.
Work-life balance doesn’t have to mean cutting your magic into tidy compartments. It’s about creating harmony between your purpose and your peace.
